Mailchimp for SiteManager
Adding sign-up methods for your MailChimp lists to your SiteManager project.
MailChimp is a great tool for the distribution of email campaigns, newsletters, and so on. By using the integration, site owners can collect email addresses and user information to fill their lists.
Before getting started, you must have a MailChimp account. If you have an account, create a mailing list in your MailChimp account.
Get MailChimp API Key And Audience ID
Login to your MailChimp account. Under the user drop-down, select the Account.
Click on Extras -> API keys.
Under the Your API keys section, click on Create A Key and copy your API key which we need in a moment.
Now we have our API key ready. Next, get the ID of the audience to which you want to add your subscribers. To do this, click on Audience menu and then select the option Settings from the Manage Audience drop-down.
Under Settings click on Audience name and defaults.
On the next page, you will find your Audience ID.
Installing the integration in SiteManager
Go to Upgrade Center -> Integrations -> Mailchimp, install Mailcimp API KEYS and one (or both) of the Mailchimp Builders
Now you'll need the API keys that you've collected in the previous steps. Go to Settings -> API & TOKENS and fill in both the API key and the Audience ID.
Build a form in your Mailchimp list. Go to Audience -> Settings -> Audience fields and *|MERGE|* tags, here you can add, edit and remove all the fields that your form has to collect in Mailchimp. Every field will get his unique *|MERGE|* tag that you will need to connect later on in your SiteManager form.
Example form in Mailchimp
Rebuild the same form within SiteManager with one of the Mailchimp Integration Builders, be sure you add an email input to make it work. Connect the input field with the corresponding Mailchimp input field by giving it the correct 'merge tag'.
Once everthing is set correctly, make sure you fill in your form to test the connection.
Notice: It can take up a few minutes before the subscriber is inserted to your Mailchimp List
