How to optimize my page settings

In this article you'll learn how to use the page settings for SEO.

In SiteManager you can set meta tags from the page properties.

After logging into a project in SiteManager, head to the page properties button in the upper right corner.

A window will open where you can set the page settings and advanced settings. With these settings you can technically optimize your page for search engines.

Page settings

In the page settings sections you'll find

  • Page name: this is for internal use.
  • Page URL: Set a clear URL and include some keywords so it's a brief summary of your page.
  • SEO Page Title: This title will be displayed in the search engine results. Make sure it summarizes your page.
  • SEO Description: This description will be displayed in the search engine results. Make sure it summarizes your page and includes some key words.
  • Open Graph Title: This title will be displayed when people share your page on social media.
  • Open Graph Description: This description will be displayed when people share your page on social media.
  • Open Graph URL: This URL will be displayed when people share your page on social media.
  • Open Graph image: This image will be displayed when people share your page on social media.

Advanced settings

The advanced settings are meant for very specific cases. By default you should enable index, follow, and disable the canonical URL.

  • No Index: Enable to tell search engines not to index this page. This is mostly used for landing pages, thank you pages, or hidden pages.
  • No follow: Enable to tell search engines not to follow this page. Google will not forward authority to the links in this page.
  • Set canonical URL: Enable to provide search engines with a URL to the original piece of content. This is mostly used for ecommerce websites or for avoiding duplicate content.
