How to activate the Cookie Settings module

In this article you'll learn where the cookie privacy settings can be managed.

Activation

Notice: Following this guide will only activate the 'behind the scenes' settings for the cookie scripts. Only after installing the cookie modal will the full setup be completed.

Important: This cookie banner is not compatible with Internet Explorer and may make your website inaccessible on Internet Explorer.

Step 1. Code Application

To properly handle cookies inside your website, it is important to be able to manage the actual scripts that use those cookies. For this reason we chose to add the Cookie Settings module to our SiteManager Code application.

Head over to Code App by clicking the menu icon in the top right corner of your screen and chosing 'Code Application'.

Step 2. Cookie Settings

After opening the Code overview, you'll see a Cookie settings card. Click on 'Edit Settings'

Step 3. Activate Management

Click on the 'Activate' button.

Step 4. Manage the predefined Cookie Groups

When the module is activated a list of predefined Cookie Groups will automatically be installed. These can easily be edited. Learn more be following the Manage Cookie Groups guide.
